If you typed "AI agency" into a search box, you may be hoping for a firm with an office, a studio and a roster of specialists. Dean Keating is not that. He is an AI automation consultant based in Horndean, Hampshire. We say this at the top because a page that let you think otherwise would be wasting your time.

What an agency normally gives you

Agencies differ, so ask each one, but the usual shape is a larger organisation that scopes a project, assigns people to it and runs it as a programme. That suits a business with a big, multi-part problem, a budget line for it and a manager who can sit in project meetings.

What he does instead

His website describes a done-for-you service in four steps: a free call, an audit of the work worth automating, the build and install, then training and support. He builds AI agents, puts them inside the tools you already use, trains your people and supports the set-up. He starts with the single task that would make the most difference, and you leave the first call with a plan you can use with or without him.

The jobs his site lists are the day-to-day desk work: replying to new enquiries within minutes, following up leads, sending and chasing quotes, booking into the diary, answering common questions across email, web and WhatsApp, raising invoices, chasing late payments and the weekly report.

When an agency is the better choice

- You want several things changed at once across the business.
- You want people who can be in your building every week.
- You need a supplier large enough to cover holidays and absences.
- You are replacing a whole system rather than taking one job off your desk.

A test you can run on any agency, including this one

Take one ordinary job from a shop.
