Watford offers comprehensive shopping across the town centre and out-of-town locations, with major superstores and department stores.

Town Centre Shopping — The Harlequin

The Harlequin shopping centre (201 Lower High Street, WD17 2UB) is Watford's main indoor shopping destination, anchored by:

- Primark — clothing and homeware at value prices
- Marks & Spencer — quality clothing, food and home goods
- Zara — contemporary fashion for men, women and children

The Harlequin also hosts dozens of other national chain stores including Next, H&M, Apple, Sports Direct and Boots.

Supermarkets & Grocery Stores

Market Shopping

Watford Market on The Parade (open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 9am–5:30pm) combines a covered indoor market of about 45 units with an outdoor street market for fresh produce, retail goods and services.

Getting Around

Watford town centre is easily walkable. The Harlequin has a multi-storey car park. Watford Junction and Watford High Street railway stations are within walking distance. The London Underground Metropolitan line terminus is at Cassiobury Park.
